hindu, my new friend

I am incessantly turning things on with my computer that I don't know how to deal with. Just now I was writing in hindi, even though I really didn't mean too and felt that I was doomed to a life of myspace in German, my ipod in some foreign language and then this in Hindi.

Not that I have anything against world languages, I just want to know exactly what it is I'm saying in another language. Am I saying something altogether obnoxious, because of my spelling mistakes in English? Am I buying a truckload of toothpicks from Jamaica? I really should work on my French. It could take me places.

We did get invited to use a new friend's neighbor's house in France recently. I love the fact that he invited us to come only minutes after meeting us. I suppose he must think a lot of our new friend's taste in friends. They are all leaving on Christmas for a week or two in France. I hope that will be us someday. At this point, going to France is very far in the future.

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law are coming for Christmas tomorrow. It shall be mayhem.

Blessings be.

a work in progress

I'm here, about to start on a new adventure-blogging.

My friend Jenny suggested it, since she was starting one too. She has a better reason than I do though, she is adopting a baby from Ethiopia right this minute! Cool. eh?

We are about to take off on a little adventure, in comparison. We're off to Tennessee in a hour or so. Lucy went on a paddle boat birthday party. I hope she's having fun, not getting seasick or anything.

I better go, help out. I have some snacks bought, Ray is off to buy more. I've packed some of the clothes, and we have story tapes. I loaded up the iPod, and we have a slew of music to listen to.

Wish us luck!
